Be Safe Anti-Bullying Workshop 2016

4th July 2016
Our Year 4 pupils took part in a personal safety/anti-bullying workshop on 4th July.  David Burn from BeSafe, who has been delivering the program to our children for the past 3 years, delivered a workshop which was fun and relevant to our children.  Topics covered included bullying, cyber bulling, mobile phone safety and stranger danger through teaching, DVD and role play.
Our children say they learned:
  • Always tell someone if you're being bullied
  • Never give out personal information online including when playing online games
  • What to do if a stranger approaches you
  • How to keep your mobile phone safe
Here are some things our children had to say about the workshop:
  • He [David] was getting the children, teachers and himself to act in it.
  • It's educational and fun and teaches children how to be safe
  • He didn't put it in a complicated way and he was funny.
  • It's appropriate to different schools/groups
  • It was AWESOME
  • He really does know what he's talking about.
